The E-Transit Custom is designed to enhance productivity and reduce operating costs for SMEs, combining advanced electric vehicle technology with Ford Pro’s digital and physical platform of services.
The E-Transit Custom features an efficient electric powertrain that provides a driving range of up to 337 km, two-year unlimited distance service intervals, a payload capacity of up to 1,011 kg, and class-leading towing capacity of 2,300 kg. The electric vehicle also includes innovative features such as a tilting steering wheel, connectivity options, and a unique Load Management System. Ford Pro has introduced an integrated home charging solution for businesses, offering installation of a connected wallbox, management software, and maintenance services across major European markets.
Ford Pro has designed the E-Transit Custom to meet the needs of SMEs that rely on vans for their businesses, with features like a lower load floor, enhanced access, and a unique semi-trailing arm independent rear suspension. The vehicle also offers a range of models, including panel van, double-cab-in-van, Kombi, and MultiCab, with options for Trend, Limited, Sport, and MS-RT series. The electric version of Europe’s top-selling one-tonne van is set to support small businesses and contribute to the electrification of commercial fleets in the region.
Ford Pro anticipates that the E-Transit Custom will deliver lower operating costs compared to diesel vehicles, with potential savings on maintenance and servicing costs. The electric powertrain offers optimal energy efficiency and can be charged from 10-80% in about 39 minutes on a 125 kW DC charger. Additionally, Ford Pro’s Vehicle Integration System simplifies the process of converting the vehicle for specific business needs, with a network of approved Ford Pro Convertors available for support.
The E-Transit Custom is equipped with digital experiences and software, including a 13-inch landscape touchscreen with Ford’s SYNC 4 communication and infotainment system.
