The 2025 model comes just six months after BYD released the Glory edition of the Dolphin EV, part of its strategy to replace traditional ICE cars with more affordable EV options. Despite the updated features and increased range, prices for the new Dolphin model remain unchanged, with four different trims available: Vitality, Free, Fashion, and Knight.
The 2025 BYD Dolphin EV is offered in four different trims, with prices ranging from $13,700 to $17,850. The lower-priced trims feature a 45 kWh battery, providing up to 261 miles of CLTC range, while the range-topping Knight model boasts a 60 kWh battery and up to 323 miles of range. The middle trims also come with a 45 kWh battery, offering 261 miles of range in the Honor edition and up to 250 miles in the highest-priced trim. The powertrain in the lower-priced models delivers up to 70 kW output, while the Knight trim includes a more powerful motor with up to 150 kW output.
The 2025 BYD Dolphin EV maintains the same size as the previous model, measuring 4,125 mm long, 1,770 mm wide, and 1,570 mm tall. The vehicle features the DiLink intelligent network connection and a 12.8″ rotating infotainment screen. BYD launched the new model on the same day that the 700,000th Dolphin EV rolled off the production line.
