The 2025 Lexus RZ electric crossover has become more affordable thanks to the introduction of a new entry-level grade, which has reduced the price by $11,200 compared to the previous year. The base model, the RZ 300e, now costs $43,975 with a mandatory $1,175 destination fee. This is a significant decrease from the 2024 RZ 300e Premium grade, which was the entry-level version last year and priced at $55,175. The RZ 300e is also available in Premium and Luxury trim levels for $48,175 and $53,905, respectively.
In addition to the single-motor front-wheel-drive RZ 300e, the dual-motor all-wheel drive RZ 450e is also more affordable for 2025, now starting at $48,675, which reflects a price reduction of $11,200 from the previous year. The RZ 450e is available in Premium and Luxury grades for $52,875 and $58,605. The RZ 450e models are powered by a 308 hp engine, allowing for a Lexus-estimated 0-60 mph time of 5.0 seconds. The RZ 300e models, on the other hand, have a 201 hp engine.
The battery packs for the RZ 300e and RZ 450e models have also been updated for 2025. The RZ 300e comes with a 72.8-kwh CATL battery pack, while the RZ 450e features a 71.4-kwh pack from Prime Planet Energy, a joint venture between battery supplier Panasonic and Lexus parent Toyota. The range for both models has been maintained, with the RZ 300e offering an EPA-estimated 266 miles with 18-inch wheels and 224 miles with 20-inch wheels. The RZ 450e has a range of 220 miles with 18-inch wheels and 196 miles with 20-inch wheels.
The RZ is currently the only all-electric Lexus available in the U.S., with the brand expected to introduce a larger electric crossover in 2026. This new model was previewed by the LF-ZL concept shown last year and is part of Lexus’s plan to transition to an all-electric brand by 2030. Despite the focus on features over range, the RZ has proven to be a popular option for consumers looking for a luxury electric crossover in the market. The affordability and performance of the 2025 Lexus RZ make it a compelling choice for those interested in electric vehicles.
