The owner of the pizzeria, Fabio Antonio Arbelaez, has been a fan of Tesla since the brand’s inception and decided to utilize the electric vehicle to its full potential for his business. These unique trucks can cook a pizza in just two minutes thanks to high-powered ovens and a conveyor belt that operates at 600 degrees.
Arbelaez repurposed the Cybertrucks by mounting them with double-stacked roasters that run on the cargo bed’s 240-volt outlet. The trucks are matte-black with signage that reads “The Jersey Thin Crust Pizza” and have garnered attention wherever they go. While about 70% of people react positively to the Cybertrucks serving pizza, some find the vehicles to be unappealing in their design. Nevertheless, the pizza itself has received excellent reviews, and the trucks have been featured in several prominent locations, including Barstool Sports’ Midtown office.
The Cybertrucks were initially acquired to meet increased catering demand from the pizzeria’s food truck. With the capacity to produce 120 pies per hour, these trucks are equipped with ovens that can operate for eight hours straight and still have a driving radius of 50 miles after that battery drain. Despite the challenges of attaching the heavy ovens to the trucks and ensuring easy access, Arbelaez has successfully implemented a slide-out mechanism for the oven and included a refrigeration unit and a dry ice cooler.

While there are differing opinions on the environmental benefits of EVs, it has been found that they emit fewer pollutants compared to traditional gas-guzzling vehicles.
