Cadillac is introducing its most affordable electric vehicle to date, the 2025 Cadillac Optiq. With a starting price of $54,000, the Optiq is set to go into production this fall and will be available at dealerships by the end of the year. Based on the same BEV3 architecture as the Chevrolet Equinox EV, the Optiq seats five and comes with a range of standard features including all-wheel drive and Super Cruise.
General Motors’ Ultium platform is making significant progress with the launch of more affordable electric models like the Cadillac Optiq. The new electric crossover boasts a dual-motor all-wheel drive powertrain producing 300 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque. The Optiq features an 85-kilowatt-hour battery that provides an estimated range of 300 miles on a full charge. Different charging options are available, with DC fast charging adding up to 79 miles in just 10 minutes.
The Optiq’s specifications are an improvement over the Chinese-spec model and include features such as three years of free Super Cruise in the U.S. Super Cruise is an advanced driving assistance system that can automatically steer and change lanes on mapped highway miles.
